Recreational Fishing

Bass fishing* is at its best here in the Tweed Valley,

Located in Northern NSW between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, Midginbil Hill is only 5 mins easy drive to the boat ramp at the legendary Clarrie Hall Dam (paddle power and electric motors only permitted), which is stocked every year with over 10,000 bass fingerlings.

Cook your catch* under the stars in front of an open fire as you camp in our gorgeous rainforest campground.  (With piping hot showers and septic toilets your stay will be a most comfortable one.)

Or if you prefer, as indeed we do, grab your esky and find a shady pool along the spectacular Tweed River and lure these great fighting fish from the snags and logs.

Ask Tony for a map of our best fishing spots. If you can’t catch* yourself dinner in five minutes, you are just not trying!

There is also fantastic estuary and beach fishing close by where you might be the only one on the entire beach.

PLEASE NOTE: THE CAMPGROUND IS OPEN DURING XMAS SCHOOL HOLIDAYS, EASTER AND OTHER LONG WEEKENDS ONLY.  GROUP ACCOMMODATION IS AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS AND DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS.

Why not get a group of fisher mates together and discover the delights of the Tweed Valley while your family and friends enjoy a relaxing farmstay break?

Would you like to check availability or make a booking now?
